No-code Shopify analytics you can install yourself
No tag manager, no data layer, no event schema to design before you see a single number. Install the app, let it collect, and read reports that were already built for a storefront.

Where most analytics tooling is designed and sold
Employing an ICT specialist is normal at enterprise scale and unusual at small-business scale. Most behavioural analytics assumes the first column and is sold to the second — which is why so much of it is bought, half-installed, and quietly abandoned.

What “no-code” has to mean to be worth anything
Plenty of tools call themselves no-code and mean “no code to install”. The install was never the hard part. The hard part is everything after it: deciding what an event is, naming it, tagging every template that fires it, and re-doing that work each time the theme changes. A tool is only genuinely no-code if you never have to design that schema at all — which is possible on Shopify precisely because a storefront is not an arbitrary website.
- A product page is always a product page; add-to-cart is always add-to-cart
- Variants, cart value and checkout steps are platform concepts, not custom ones
- So the events can ship pre-defined, and survive a theme change
- The trade: you get storefront questions answered, not arbitrary ones
What installing it actually involves
Four steps, none of which involve a developer or a tag manager. The longest part is waiting for traffic.
- 1
Install from the Shopify App Store
Standard app install and permissions. No script to paste into theme.liquid, so nothing to redo when you change theme.
- 2
Let a day of normal traffic run
Behavioural data needs volume before it means anything. A day of your usual traffic is enough for the first findings; a week is enough to trust them.
- 3
Read the first pass
Templates ranked by where sessions are lost, split by device. You are looking for the biggest gap, not for a perfect score.
- 4
Apply one change and measure it
One at a time, measured against a holdout. Two changes at once and you have learned nothing about either.
| Pre-defined | Custom schema | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to first insight | A day of traffic | However long the tagging project takes |
| Theme change | Nothing to do | Re-tag and re-test the affected templates |
| Questions you can ask | Storefront questions, answered out of the box | Anything at all — once you have defined it |
| Who maintains it | Nobody | Whoever built it, forever |
Where the other one wins: A custom schema wins the moment your question stops being a storefront question. Subscription lifecycle, marketplace listings, an internal tool, a quiz funnel with its own logic — pre-defined events cannot see any of it, and a data layer you control absolutely can. If that is your world, hire the implementation and do it properly.
The other half of no-code is not having to build a report to ask a question. DynoAgent takes the question in English. Read on →
How DynoWeb does it
Before you install
Do I need to edit my theme?
No. Installation goes through the standard Shopify app flow — no theme file editing and nothing to paste.
What happens when I change themes?
Collection continues. Heatmaps are keyed to templates rather than to specific markup, so a redesign does not require reinstalling or reconfiguring anything.
Can I remove it cleanly?
Yes. Uninstalling from Shopify removes the app. Because nothing was pasted into your theme, there is no leftover snippet to hunt down.
